This man and his first book were the reason that about two years ago I began to try and start my own business.

My new friends at London Real Brian and Nic have put out a crazy episode with a full in depth recounting of Nic’s multi day Ayahuasca ceremony deep in the amazon jungle. You can catch it HERE

Ayahuasca for those that don’t know is a spiritual medicine with Entheogenic and Empathogenic properties used in shamanistic rituals to achieve higher consciousness and enlightenment.

Nic’s journey and is experiences are mind blowing with the episode blurb saying

“Nic Gabriel returns from his Ayahuasca retreat in the jungles of Peru to discuss his experiences at El Purguero under the supervision of Shaman Ron Wheelock, the terrifying images and life lessons gained from his 4 ceremonies, his uncomfortable afternoon with the plant medicine San Pedro, and why he feels that the “Old Nic” died in that jungle.”

To me the most heartwarming part and the biggest message he delivered was right at the end, and I paraphrase ” I now look for answers from curiosity and not from need”

Awesome,

So I have been experimenting a lot who different grooming and image enhancing techniques for priming.

My latest adventure was getting my first ever Pedicure and Manicure. I have been badly clipping my own nails for many years and have never really spent any maintenance time on my feet which I don’t think were designed to do some of the workouts I subject them to.

Manicure is pretty straight forward, the clip, file and shape your nails and cuticles to leave a hand that wouldn’t loo out of place on a billboard for the latest expensive watch. This I really quite liked as experience has taught me women rank hands pretty high in the attraction game, feeling attractive has serious knock on effects on all mental pursuits.

The Pedicure was something out of this world, I had no idea so much TLC was bought by girls every month for themselves.

The procedure includes similar steps as the manicure but all takes place on a massage chair that has a little jacuzzi for your feet. Extra steps include shaving of dead skin with a specialised razor , filing/buffing of the foot with a coarse sponge, foot massage etc etc.

At no point was it particularly girly (except when my pedicurist teased me and asked if I wanted colouring) just luxurious tending to.

Highly recommend trying it out if only to see how the other half lives

My muscle imbalances around my body and the scar tissue has been pretty much fixed by ART but the tightness in my hamstrings and calves and their stubbornness to grow (especially the hamstrings) was getting to me.

Enter these shoes.

For those that don’t know most western human beings are walking very very wrong according to the basic anatomical design of our lower extremities.

This is chiefly due to our modern cushioned and raised heel shoes which lead to foot striking with the heel during walking and running. Our feet are designed to land mid/bowl first, with the calves acting as suspension instead of our knees.

This shift in gait also shortens your achilles tendon and forces you into a compromised posture.

It has now been a week that I have pretty mush not taken off these shoes and they feel great!

I have been mostly walking in them to get used to the new gait they force to adopt ( and which as an Italian child I pretty much never knew, no bare feet for us ) but the other day I finally gave a thorough testing by doing my first scheduled 10min HIT running training session which I am using to re establish my cardiovascular capacity.

Aside from a little blister under my right big toe it was a success, no strange pains or issues and it felt very free and natural.

I will keep you posted on m progress and the effects on my rear leg issues.

98kgs , total change in weight in 4 weeks = 8.5Kgs

I have completed the first bulking phase in my new 4 week cut 4 week bulk diet cycle.

The idea is to prime the body every other month so that it responds with greater growth during the bulk phases.

This also reduces the increase of body fat in fact it should lead to leaning out without a corresponding muscle loss.

April will be a very strict Four Hour Body Slow carb diet month and I will also start running with some vibram shoes and hopefully also start some Bikhram yoga.
